Roundtable Breakfast

Jordan Levin, Founding Partner & CEO, Generate

Jun 30, 2009
8:30 – 9:30 AM
Los Angeles

Recognized for his deeply nuanced and renowned understanding of young adult and family audiences, Jordan Levin has been instrumental in launching numerous entertainment franchises that have left a lasting impact on popular culture over the past two decades as both a network and studio executive, producer, director and new media entrepreneur.

In 2005, Mr. Levin partnered with established industry leaders to create Generate, a next-generation media company based in Los Angeles and New York that produces targeted entertainment properties for distribution across both traditional and digital platforms. Built upon a deep understanding of the Millennial audience, Generate's dynamic full-service studio, talent management and brand engagement divisions drive the development of intellectual property assets by providing integrated content solutions connecting the advertising, technology and entertainment communities.  In early 2006 Generate became the first content creation company to secure a cross-platform, multi-network distribution deal by partnering with MTV Networks. Since then, Generate has struck a multi-year development deal with 20th Century Fox Television and produced original primetime series for BET and Comedy Central.  For its work producing directly for broadband, Generate has twice been named to the AlwaysOn OnHollywood 100 in 2008 and 2009 as a top private company in digital entertainment and media and was ranked among the top ten Web video creators by TV Week.

Prior to Generate, Mr. Levin spent a decade launching, building and branding America's most successful broadcast network targeting younger audiences - The WB - culminating with his appointment as the youngest CEO in broadcast television history.  Mr. Levin, who replaced Jamie Kellner as CEO of The WB, joined the network before its January 1995 launch as part of the founding executive team and rose through the programming ranks to become President, Entertainment by the time he was 33.

A dean's list and cum laude graduate with special honors from the University of Texas at Austin's Radio/Television/Film Program, Mr. Levin majored in television and film theory and criticism.
