Strauss Zelnick is a co-founder and partner of ZelnickMedia and, in accordance with a management deal struck between ZelnickMedia and Take-Two Interactive Software, he is also the Executive Chairman of the Board of Take-Two Interactive Software.
Take-Two Interactive Software is one of the most commercially successful video game developers ever with revenue approaching almost a trillion dollars in 2009. Take-Two Interactive Software’s most popular serial games include Civilization, Grand Theft Auto, Mafia, and Max Payne.
Zelnick is a recognized leader in the media and entertainment business, having held top executive positions in the recorded music, television, video, motion picture, and entertainment software industries. He has held senior executive positions with Columbia Music Entertainment, ITN Networks, Blockbuster, Naylor, Direct Holdings Worldwide, and 20th Century Fox.
Zelnick holds an MBA and a JD from Harvard University and a BA from Wesleyan University. He is an associate member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. He has also served on the board of directors of the Recording Industry Association of America and the Motion Picture Association of America.
