Los Angeles, CA, December 18, 2024 – The Paley Center for Media today announced that Apple TV+’s acclaimed hit series Severance will be the opening night program for PaleyFest LA 2025 including an advance screening of the season two finale, followed by a conversation with the cast and creative team. Featuring the leading talent and creative minds from the most lauded and hottest TV shows, PaleyFest LA will take the stage at the DOLBY THEATRE in Hollywood from Friday, March 21, 2025 through Sunday, March 30, 2025.

This year’s festival will recognize an exceptional selection of defining series that are setting the bar for creative excellence in television and offer fans exclusive behind-the-scenes conversations with the cast and creative teams. The full schedule for the 2025 Festival will be announced on Monday, January 27 with tickets presale starting the next day.

The Primetime Emmy and Peabody-Award winning series Severance follows Mark (Adam Scott), who leads a team at Lumon Industries, whose employees have undergone a severance procedure that surgically divides their memories between their work and personal lives. This daring experiment in “work-life balance” is called into question as Mark finds himself at the center of an unraveling mystery that will force him to confront the true nature of his work… and of himself. In season two, Mark and his friends learn the dire consequences of trifling with the severance barrier, leading them further down a path of woe. The second season of Severance will premiere globally on Apple TV+ on January 17.

The festival is made possible by Citi returning as an official sponsor, and William S. Paley Foundation as the founding benefactor.

“We’re thrilled to announce the return of PaleyFest LA and our opening night program Apple TV+’s Severance,” said Maureen J. Reidy, the Paley Center’s President & CEO. “We look forward to another exceptional festival and extend our tremendous thanks to our friends at Citi and the William S. Paley Foundation for their generous and continued support of PaleyFest LA.”
