Louis C.K. has emerged as the comic philosopher king of our times, investigating existential despair in his highly original FX series Louie. For three seasons he has crafted a very intimate work by almost doing the impossible: starring, producing, writing, and directing a weekly series. Louie has the quirky rhythms of an independent film, constantly juxtaposing moods and subverting audience expectations as we follow the travails of Louis C. K.’s alter ego. Louis C.K. and his creative team will discuss how they have used New York as a character in their personal show, as well as reveal some of their plans to sustain the show’s unpredictable spirit for the upcoming fourth season.
