The Next Big Thing in Open Government

On November 6, The Paley Center for Media, in partnership with the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, presented The Next Big Thing in Open Government.
The event brought together senior media and business leaders, investors, entrepreneurs, public officials, journalists, and influential advocates of open government for a half-day program featuring thought-provoking moderated conversations on the meaning and importance of open government and the technologies that are driving what may be an untold story of success in Washington and in cities and communities across the country. Two executive sessions were followed by dynamic pitch sessions and a Q&A with technologists and leaders of initiatives that use media and technology to promote economic growth, spur innovation and change, and engage citizens in our democracy.
