The Wonder Years

The Paley Center is delighted to welcome members of the acclaimed cast and creative team of ABC’s The Wonder Years, for a special Paley Front Row conversation; part of the Paley Center's 2022 Salute to Black Achievements in Television, presented by Citi.

Gallery Exhibit featuring milestones throughout the decades of Black TV and in the careers of many of its most accomplished figures. In recognition of the Black History Month 2022 official theme of Black Health and Wellness, look for the stethoscope icons in the exhibit!

Spotlight to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the premiere of Sanford and Son, and the centennial of comedy legend Redd Foxx.

Display of OWN’s Queen Sugar, with a booth from Aunt Vi’s Prized Pies & Diner for you to sit a spell and share your pictures on social media; plus Aunt Vi’s wedding dress and other costumes and props from the show.

Original Costumes including Maya Rudolph’s “Vice President Kamala Harris” pantsuit and Kenan Thompson’s “Diondre Cole” suit from Saturday Night Live; the “Jordan Baker” Beverly High uniform and the “Coach Baker” Crenshaw High uniform from All American; “The Williams Family” outfits from The Wonder Years; and costumes from the “Juneteenth” and “Our Wedding Dre” episodes of black-ish.

Screenings: Each day of the exhibit we’re showing a custom loop of programs from the Paley Archive. Screenings start at 12:10 pm.
(Please note: no family screenings on February 5 and 12.)

For kids, programs including Doc McStuffins, Everybody Hates Chris, and That’s So Raven, and starting Saturday, February 19, Netflix’s Ada Twist, Scientist; Karma's World; and We the People.

For bigger kids, programs include Sanford and Son, The Redd Foxx Show, Soul Train, Soul!, The Wire, and Sidney Poitier.

Don’t miss a very special sneak peek of The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder on Sat./Sun., Feb. 19 & 20 at 2:40 pm.

Interactive Trivia with questions about notable onscreen personalities and creative visionaries in Black TV history.

Family Fun and Education Programming including arts & crafts, classes, and a home guide with viewing recommendations and more.

Paley Archive where you can watch the work of all the people you see in the exhibit.
