It Was a Very Good Life: A Paley Centennial Salute to Frank Sinatra on Television

New York

Frank Sinatra was one of the dominant entertainers of the twentieth century, conquering all facets of show business. As part of the worldwide celebration of the singer’s 100th birthday and enduring legacy, the Paley Center will explore how Ol' Blue Eyes creatively used television over five decades, intimately communicating the richness and depth of the Great American Songbook to an entire nation. Daughter Nancy Sinatra will discuss the importance of her father’s television career with an esteemed panel of artists, friends, and experts. And she is opening up the family’s archives to screen rare treasures that have not been seen in several decades. This evening promises an intimate look at the man whom Pete Hamill describes as a “genuine artist, [whose] work will endure as long as men and women can hear, and ponder, and feel.” Photo: © Frank Sinatra Enterprises
