FATHER KNOWS BEST: ADOPTED DAUGHTER (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series about the Anderson family -- Jim and Margaret and their children Betty, Bud, and Kathy. In this episode, Kathy, after a conversation with her friend Patty, mistakenly suspects that she was adopted by the Andersons. She questions her parents, and when neither gives her a straight answer, Kathy feels her suspicions are confirmed. When Jim and Bud start moving Kathy's furniture out of her room so they can refinish the floor, she thinks she is being kicked out of the family and runs away. Kathy talks to classmate Alicia May, who, herself an adopted child, convinces Kathy to return home. In the end, Jim reassures her of her place in the family.
