Summary
One in this series of dramas about the Lawrences, a middle-class family living in Pasadena, California. In this episode, Kate Lawrence is visited by Susan Bowers, a young woman whom her best friend, Elaine, gave up for adoption as an infant 20 years earlier. In order to protect her own privacy, Elaine used Kate's name during her pregnancy and on the adoption papers; and now, after a long search, Susan believes that Kate is her birth mother. Kate tells her the truth and then attempts to set up a meeting between Susan and Elaine, much to Doug's objections. Meanwhile, Willy befriends Jill Redfield, a member of Pasadena's social elite whom he learns is not very happy with her "arranged" marriage engagement. Includes commercials and promos.
