BULLWINKLE SHOW, THE: WOSSAMOTTA U {EPISODES 3-8}
(TV)

Summary

One in this animated series about two friends -- a gormless moose named Bullwinkle and an intelligent flying squirrel named Rocky -- and their frequent encounters with their arch enemies, Soviet spies Boris Badenov and Natasha. In part four of "Wossamotta U," Bullwinkle is the star forward on the school's football team, but Boris and Natasha plan to persuade the moose to throw the game. In "The World of Commander McBragg, the commander recalls how a rainbow saved him from certain death; and in "Fractured Fairy Tales," a human-sized frog believes he is an enchanted prince. In part five of "Wossamotta U," Bullwinkle believes Natasha's sob story and plans to throw the game, despite Rocky's protests, but by sheer accident, Bullwinkle scores wildly. Next, a meeting of the Rocky and Bullwinkle Fan Club is interrupted by Boris, who describes the Boris Fan Club, complete with commercials. In part six, Boris and Natasha hire a mob of killers as a rival football team, the Mud City Manglers, disguised as little girls. In "The World of Commander McBragg," the commander recalls how a day of insect collecting became a deadly battle; and in "Fractured Fairy Tales, the pied piper blows pies out of his pipe -- including pumpkin, mince, and banana cream. In part seven of "Wossamotta U," Boris, Natasha, and their Fearless Leader bet a hefty sum on the "thugs and plug-uglies." Next is an edition of "Mr. Know-It-All," parodying the Peace Corps. In part eight, the Mud City Manglers beat Wossamotta U through devious means -- until Rocky realizes the Manglers are wearing wigs and carrying guns. Commercials deleted.
