AMOS 'N ANDY SHOW, THE: THE CHRISTMAS STORY (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series about Amos Jones and Andy Brown, two outlandish African-American stereotypes.
Introduced by Gosden and Correll, this episode begins with a flashback to nine years earlier, to a hospital waiting room where Amos and Andy nervously await the birth of Amos's daughter Arbadella. In the present, Andy takes young Arbadella, his godchild, window-shopping on Christmas eve. She shows him a talking doll which her father told her Santa could not afford for her this year. Andy takes a job as a department store Santa in order to buy the doll for Arbadella. Later that evening, Amos interprets the meaning of the "The Lord's Prayer" for his daughter. Includes commercials.
