PHIL SILVERS SHOW, THE {YOU'LL NEVER GET RICH}: THE COLONEL BREAKS PAR (TV)
Summary
One in this series of comedies starring Phil Silvers as Sgt. Ernie Bilko, a fast-talking confidence man stationed at Fort Baxter in Kansas. In this episode, thinking that Colonel Hall is going on vacation, Bilko plans a week of parties and fun for himself and his men. However, the colonel and his wife decide to postpone their holiday. Bilko finds that unless he discovers a way to get the colonel out of town, he and his men will not only miss a week of rest and relaxation, but they will also be out the two hundred dollars they have spent preparing for their fun. Bilko learns that there will be an army golf tournament and decides to enlist the help of his friend Sam, a professional golfer, to make the colonel believe that he is a champ at the sport. Commercials deleted.
