BRENNER: WORD OF HONOR (TV)

Summary

One in this series of police dramas about Det. Roy Brenner and his son Ernie, a plainclothesman. In this episode, Ernie and an officer named Paul Harris spot four young men breaking into a car. Ernie handcuffs one of them while Harris chases the other three. Ernie hears a gunshot and discovers that Harris has shot and killed one of the would-be car thieves. Harris claims that the dead youth had a gun and fired at the same time as he did, but there is no gun to be found. Harris is indicted on charges of manslaughter and it is up to the Brenners to find the missing evidence to clear his name.
