BURKE'S LAW: WHO KILLED MOTHER GOOSE? (TV)
Summary
One in this police drama series about the homicide investigations of millionaire Los Angeles police Capt. Amos Burke, who speaks in witty puns and is known for having his own set of "laws." In this episode, the book is closed on author Mother Goose when someone turns her typewriter ribbon into a noose. Burke learns from a precocious child of the four people that the deceased drove wild: the star of a children's television show, who thought that Mother Goose deserved to go; a nervous children's psychiatrist, who had Goose at the top of his bad list; the longtime publisher of the newly deceased whose relationship with her was about to cease; and a beat folk singer named Little John, who kept it quiet that Goose was his Mom. Also, Captain Amos Burke cannot bear to neglect Goose's pretty secretary, who becomes his personal suspect. During the investigation, Burke's car is taken, with chauffeur Henry, inside by a suspect who has much to hide. Includes commercials.
