MAX LIEBMAN PRESENTS: YOUR SHOW OF SHOWS (TV)
Summary
One in this syndicated series of compilations of complete segments from "Your Show of Shows," the comedy/variety series starring Sid Caesar. The program opens with Caesar and Coca (in 1976) introducing the program. Skits include: Reiner interviewing "The Professor" (Caesar), a mountaineer; Coca as a woman who prescribes treatments for her husband's (Caesar) cold; Coca and Caesar with a pantomime; a film parody about a U-boat crew and a stowaway spy (Coca); Coca and Caesar as a superstitious couple; and a Caesar solo.
In the next skit, three stuffy English noblemen (Caesar, Reiner, and Morris) and a noblewoman (Coca) gather for an evening of smalltalk. A storm and a leaky roof, however, make the evening more soggy and less stodgy. Next is a film parody about five people who are invited to the reading of a will and then murdered one by one.
