CAESAR'S HOUR (TV)

Summary

A complete segment from a single broadcast of "Caesar's Hour," a series of comedy/variety programs hosted by Sid Caesar. A parody of typical Hollywood musicals, this production, "Abandon Ship For Love," concerns 3 sailors (Caesar, Reiner, and Morris) on 24-hour shore leave in New York City. Once there, the sailors meet and fall in love with 3 women (Fabray, Parker, and Deel), an actress, a princess, and an heiress. That out of the way, the 3 couples spend the rest of the leave dancing and singing in the shops, clubs, and streets of New York.
