Highlights include the development of the Wrights' first plane and their first flight; an eyewitness account and footage of early flights of the Wright brothers; planes in World War I; film director William Wellman on flying in World War I; planes and the postal service; Lindbergh and the first solo, non-stop, transcontinental flight; aviator Jimmy Doolittle on his early flights; and builders of Lindbergh's plane, "Spirit of St. Louis," discussing the plane.
