MAYFLOWER: THE PILGRIMS' ADVENTURE (TV)

Summary

Part one of this dramatized account of the Pilgrims' voyage to the new world in 1620 aboard the Mayflower. Persecuted in England, the Pilgrims board the Mayflower. Priscilla Mullins meets John Alden; Miles Standish is told his wife is very ill; tension grows between Capt. Jones and William Brewster; Alden introduces Myles to Priscilla; and the Mayflower's companion ship turns back.

John Alden and Priscilla Mullins grow closer; a storm threatens the ship's safety; Priscilla agrees to marry John Alden; and the Mayflower arrives in America. (The program closes as actor Richard Crenna suggests several books for those who want to read more about the Pilgrims.) Commercials deleted.
