EXPERIMENT IN TELEVISION: PINTER PEOPLE (TV)

Summary

A series dedicated to the belief that "experimentation in television is vital to its future." This program, "featuring and based on the five revue sketches of Harold Pinter," includes filmed conversations with the British playwright and scenes of Pinter and Pleasence in rehearsal. The five animated sketches are "Trouble in the Works," a conversation between foreman and factory owner about dissatisfied workers; "Request Stop," in which a woman at a bus stop screams at a foreigner; "The Black and White"; "Applicant"; and "Last To Go." Also included are scenes of London and its inhabitants, a source of inspiration for Pinter's works. Commercials deleted.
