Summary
Continued from T79:0123. Episode three of this drama that follows the experiences of the Weiss family in the years of the Holocaust during the Nazi era. In this portion, Karl works in the art studio at Theresienstadt; Rudi and Helena, with the partisans in Russia, are married; S.S. Chief Himmler supervises mass executions; Karl and other artist/prisoners at Theresienstadt make a secret cache of realistic artwork; and Dorf of the S.S. plans death camps for European Jewry. Next, Inga asks to be sent to Theresienstadt to be with Karl; Dorf helps plan gas chambers for Auschwitz; Karl and others are punished for their secret artwork; Inga and Karl are reunited; Jews in Warsaw resolve to resist Nazi deportations and executions; and Josef sets up a phony clinic to save some who are destined for death camps.
