Summary
One in this series of irregularly scheduled dramas. This production is based on Thomas Wolfe's autobiographical novel, set in North Carolina in 1916. The young Eugene Gant falls in love with a guest at the boarding house that his mother manages. He rebels against his mother's manipulations and finally breaks away by leaving for college, planning to realize his ambitions to educate himself, travel, and write. Includes commercials.
