Spiro Agnew, and John Lindsay, whom some support for V.P., seconds Agnew nomination as does Sen. John Tower. Dan Rather discusses moves to nominate Lindsay and George Romney, Cronkite says Nixon-Agnew ticket is assured and doubts nomination challengers threaten it, Nevada nominates George Romney for V.P., and Party Sec'y Consuela Bailey begins calling in the ballots. Bruce Morton interviews Nixon leaving the Miami Hilton, Nixon praises Agnew. Back at the convention hall, the votes from the N.Y. delegation give Agnew the nomination. Includes commercials.
