Summary
One in this dramatic anthology series. This docudrama documents the fall of Italian dictator Benito Mussolini in April 1945. Mussolini's Black Shirt Forces have retreated and disbanded, while American troops and Italian partisans work to rid Italy of the Fascist regiments. Mussolini goes into hiding and, with his advisers, plots his escape into Switzerland, along with $60 million in gold bullion belonging to the Italian treasury.
Mussolini and his mistress are captured by Italian partisans while attempting escape into Switzerland, given a trial, and sentenced to be executed. At the same time these partisans plan to capture the $60 million Mussolini had tried to smuggle out of Italy. Includes commercials.
