Summary

An adaptation of W. Somerset Maugham's story of Leslie Crosbie, a woman on trial for the murder of a man she claims tried to rape her. Leslie's lawyer believes her to be innocent until he is approached by the dead man's mistress who holds a letter proving that Leslie killed the man in a fit of jealous rage. Leslie obtains $10,000 from her husband to pay off the blackmailers and is acquitted; in the process she has ruined her husband's business and her chances for happiness by admitting the truth about the murder to her husband. This is a black and white copy of a color program. Includes commercials.
