UGLY BETTY: FAKE PLASTIC SNOW (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy-drama series about Betty Suarez, a young Queens woman trying to make it in the fashion industry despite her unglamorous appearance.
In this episode, Betty continues fantasizing about Henry, despite still being attached to Walter. Meanwhile, Sofia -- despite the amazing last few weeks with Daniel -- thinks that the two should take a "breather" while she is out of town. Sofia even gives Daniel the "green light" to see other women while she is gone in order that he may prove to himself that he truly loves her -- and only her. Meanwhile, the other Mode employees prepare for Christmas, upset that the office Christmas party is going down on the cheap. With Betty about to start working for Sofia, Daniel gives her one final task: find a fitting replacement to become his assistant. Daniel also reveals to Betty that he's through with being a bachelor and hopes to propose to Sofia.
Amanda immediately pushes Betty toward picking her as Daniel's new assistant. Amanda thinks she can prove her worth by helping plan the Christmas party. Daniel's libido is soon tested when lingerie models, including one of his exes, arrive at the office that day for a photo shoot. That night, Betty goes to Walter's company Christmas party, quite different from the scene at Mode, where she begins questioning whether Walter is truly "the one." Meanwhile, Hilda engages in a Christmas battle with Gina Gambarro, while Marc worries that Wilhelmina is putting a hit on him due to his knowledge of her big secret. Later, Betty learns that Amanda not only tried on one of the engagement rings Daniel bought for Sofia, but that she also got it stuck on her finger. Now, Betty has to help the delusional Amanda remove it from her hand.
Eventually, it's time for the Christmas party arrives, and, shockingly, Amanda is able to successfully pull it off. At the party, Daniel has a quick kiss with his lingerie model ex, but soon puts an end to it, calling Sofia to profess his love. As Amanda helped Daniel run interference with his ex, Betty feels that Amanda should get the job, which Amanda subsequently accepts. As Wilhelmina gets her own Christmas surprise, Betty realizes which one of her suitors takes her breath away. However, Hilda has her own plan for Betty's romantic future, which she begins to implement. Includes commercials.
