FREDDIE: FREDDIE GETS CROSS OVER GEORGE (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series in which a top chef in Chicago finds his life turned upside-down after his immediate family members move into his apartment. This episode is a special crossover episode with "George Lopez." In this episode, George Lopez, his friend Ernie, and George's son Max arrive at Freddie's place so that Max can meet Zoey, his IM buddy. Max is immediately impressed by Freddie's nice apartment. Quickly, Chris suggests that the men play some poker and George enthusiastically agrees. The four men and Allison play a very brief "high stakes" game. Next, the men head to Freddie's restaurant for some cocktails, with Chris showing Ernie how to hit on women. Meanwhile, George discusses marriage with Freddie, then questions his choice of career. George claims to have grown up in a tougher situation than Freddie, something the chef disputes. Then, Freddie decides to take George drinking in a tough 'hood to show his "roots." Meanwhile, Max is too focused on video games to pay any attention to Zoey. Zoey asks Sofia and Allison for advice on how to get Max's attention. Upon realizing that they have nothing in common, Zoey break up with the completely unphased Max. After arriving at a dive bar, the four men have troubling fitting in. Scared, Chris and Ernie quickly leave, opting instead for fancy massages. Freddie and George soon find trouble when one bar patron challenges them to a fight. Ultimately, Freddie and George end up in jail for fighting, making them realize that maybe they aren't so tough. Later, Grandma agrees to bail them out, for a very special price.
