BELLA MAFIA: PART 2 (TV)

Summary

Part two in this two-part miniseries. This program is about five mafia wives who decide to avenge their family's deaths by rival mafioso. This part begins in Palermo, Sicily, at the joint funeral for the murdered Luciano men. There, Sophia loses control, blaming the murders on the bitterness incited by Michael's killing, though Graziella insists that Pietro is the one to blame. Meanwhile, Pietro meets with Luka in prison, saying that he's getting death threats due to the murders of Sophia's young twins. When Luka admits he committed the murders, Pietro calls him insane, causing Luka to remove himself from his adopted father's life. At the same time, Mario -- with his power of attorney -- signs the Luciano holdings over to Anthony Moreno. Overcome with what he has done, he apologizes to Graziella before taking his own life. Later, the widows are shocked to see that their servants have left and to learn that all of the Luciano clan's Palermo corporations have been merged into a group ownership headed by Castellano. Now, Graziella begins practicing shooting a pistol, scaring her daughters-in-law. Later, Sophia tells Moyra that Graziella plans to assassinate Pietro at his upcoming trial. Elsewhere, Luka meets American tourist John Taylor, subsequently killing him and stealing his identity. Then, at Pietro's trial, Graziella shoots and misses, but Luka -- disguised as a monk -- surprises all by killing Pietro. Escaping unseen from the courthouse, Luka is hit by a car driven by Teresa. Moyra and Rosa help bring Luka to the Luciano estate, where Graziella later returns. Awaking from his stupor, Luka is stunned to see that he is sleeping in the same bed where he murdered Sophia's twins. Later, the Lucianos learn from Castellano that they will lose their estate, unless they turn over ownership to their American holdings. That afternoon, the police arrive, looking for information on Pietro's killer and telling the Lucianos that they are not to leave Palermo. Returning to Castellano's estate, Luka overhears Castellano's plan to kill him. He then poisons Castellano. Soon, the Lucianos are headed for America, with Luka on the same flight. Staying at Teresa's apartment in New York, the Luciano women begin discussing their plan to sell the holdings in order to garner more information. One day, Luka pays a visit to the apartment, presenting Rosa with flowers. Soon, Luka is kissing Graziella in the kitchen, bringing her to tears. Eventually, Luka makes a pass at all the Luciano women. Later, Sophia and Teresa meet with Vito Giancamo and his son Michael, asking for the names of the men that organized their husbands' murders. Returning home, Moyra informs "John Taylor" that they checked inside his backpack, finding his gun and the monk's robe belonging to Pietro's killer. Thinking quick, Luka is able to convince the women that he wasn't involved in the murder. The next day, meeting with Anthony, the Luciano women try to make the exchange of holdings for names. Anthony says that in a few days he will be able to help them, though he has no such intentions. Back at the apartment, Moyra makes an aggressive pass at Luka and kisses him. Later, Rosa tells Luka that she sometimes wears her wedding veil late at night, going on to model her bridal gown for him. Teresa breaks up the scene, then cries at the thought of Sophia's murdered boys. Turning to Luka for comfort, she reveals that the Lucianos have no liquid funds. Luka surprises them by noting that he has an inheritance and he can help them out. The next day, Anthony's brother, Benjamin, shows up at Teresa's place wielding a gun and Luka is forced to shoot him and his associate. While Luka handles the bodies, the women clean up the bloody mess. Luka then frames Anthony for Benjamin's murder. Doing some research, Moyra learns that Nickie Diamond is currently running the casino and living in her suite. Later, Rosa catches Sophia and Luka in an embrace and is upset. Then, a policeman from Palermo arrives in America, forcing Sophia to meet with him. Moyra, Teresa, Graziella, Rosa, and Luka go to the casino, hoping to steal some chips from Nickie's suite to use for cash. At the same time, Sophia speaks with the Palermo detectives, who inform her that John Taylor is Luka, the murderer of her children. However, Sophia refuses to help the police in finding Luka. Meanwhile, when Moyra tries to cash out Nickie's chips, the casino security agent suspects some funny business and investigates, barely giving the Luciano women enough time to escape from yet another murder scene. Later, Sophia tries to set Rosa up with Michael Giancamo, knowing that his protection will get them access to Pietro's fortune. Eventually, Luka takes the women to Pietro's massive estate, which he now owns. There, Sophia quickly tells the other women the startling news about Luka. Then, over dinner, the women drug Luka and bind him to a chair where Sophia screams at him after he admits to murdering her children. Afterward, she tries to get more names out of Luka, eventually sticking a knife in his gut. Finally, Sophia notices the "beloved" necklace around Luka's neck and realizes he is her son. After the women bury Luka, they declare that Sophia will head the family. Later, the Lucianos have a sit-down with the American mafioso, who note that the vendetta is now over. Sophia tells them that Rosa is soon to marry Michael. At the wedding, Sophia tries to set Moyra up with Vito before handling a little unfinished business herself, ensuring that the vendetta isn't quite in the past. Commercials deleted.
