NOW AND AGAIN: THE EGGMAN COMETH {SERIES FINALE} (TV)

Summary

One in this drama series about a genetically engineered man implanted with a middle-aged accident victim's brain, inspiring him to try to reconnect with his beloved family. This program begins with Lisa checking some rental listings for the recently separated Roger. Then, Lisa gets a call from attorney Ed Bernstadt, who tells her that she can be part of a class action lawsuit against a company that made faulty respirators. Lisa claims her husband never needed a respirator because he died instantly, but Ed claims his papers note that Michael made it to the hospital still experiencing brain wave activity. Meanwhile, prisoner Charlie gets his cellmate, the Eggman, some eggs. At the same time, Theodore awaits Michael's new tracking device, while Michael just wants to get out of the apartment. Soon, Ed pays Lisa a visit at her home, offering a "what if" line of questioning. Lisa tries to throw him off her property but he eventually gets her to listen. She learns from Ed how Theodore became involved in the scenario on the day Michael died. Lisa begins to do her own digging. Back in prison, Charlie questions the Eggman on why he is so interested in escaping, leading to his tale about the need to kill Michael, "a superman." The Eggman later scores a syringe. Soon, a man pretending to be Theodore comes to Lisa's home, claiming that Ed is misinformed. The next day, Ed calls Lisa to talk about Theodore and she quickly learns that she may have been duped. Meanwhile, Theodore learns that the tracking device is just two hours away from them. Elsewhere, Lisa's boss Janet shows Jerry a new house, then tries to seduce him in the bedroom. At the same time, Lisa does her own recon on Theodore. Theodore gives in to Michael's request and takes him to a bookstore. There, Michael pretends to be interested in some bestsellers. In a remote aisle, Lisa stops Michael, asking "Mr. Newman" if she can talk to Theodore. Michael is forced to use a most interesting way to stop Lisa from carrying out her quest. However, Theodore monitors the situation from afar. Later, Theodore questions Michael about his interaction with Lisa, stressing that she can't know anything about the arrangement. Returning to the compound, Theodore prepares to reinsert the tracking device into Michael's head. However, Michael doesn't trust that Theodore will leave Lisa alone, so he punches the doctor and knocks him out before fleeing. Meanwhile, the Eggman and Charlie use nerve gas to escape from prison. Finally, Michael arrives at his old home and quickly gets Lisa and Heather to leave with him. Minutes later, Theodore and his men burst into the house and see that it's empty. He commands his subordinates to find them. Commercials deleted.
