LIFE WITH ELIZABETH {BARBECUE; HOUSE-PAINTING; RICHARD AND GERALDINE'S WEDDING} (TV)
Summary
One in this series of domestic comedies featuring three vignettes in the life of Elizabeth and Alvin, a young married couple.
In the first scene of this installment, announcer/narrator Jack Narz sets up the vignette by noting that Elizabeth doesn't have the patience of a typical person when it comes to using a new barbecue set received for Christmas. Despite the cold weather, Elizabeth decides that she still wishes to have a barbecue. Upon coming home from work, Alvin is quite surprised to see his wife setting up their new barbecue set. Though the two struggle to get the grill going, they eventually have a fire blazing. However, husband and wife quickly run into other problems.
Next, Narz sets up the second vignette. In this one, Alvin paints the breakfast room, after Elizabeth decides that she doesn't like the current color scheme. The two find numerous problems with getting the perfect shade. However, Elizabeth finds that Alvin seems to have a knack for painting "landscapes."
Next, Narz sets up the third vignette, one that happened a long time ago, on the night before Richard was to marry Geraldine. Elizabeth and best man Alvin prepare their house so that Richard may rehearse before the big day. However, Elizabeth is confused as to why Geraldine and the preacher won't be attending the rehearsal. Elizabeth further struggles to explain how the ceremony will work to "blockhead" Richard, unable to ever get things perfect. Commercials deleted.
