CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM: THE TERRORIST ATTACK (TV)

Summary

One in this comedy series in which producer/comedian Larry David plays a slightly exaggerated version of himself who often ends up embroiled in misunderstandings and social faux pas. In this episode, the Davids go to dinner with notorious cheapskate Stu Braudy and his wife Susan, running into Paul Reiser at the restaurant with Larry accidentally snubbing Paul's wife Mindy. Wanda, courtesy of information from a CIA friend, informs the Davids of a ninety percent positive terrorist threat in Los Angeles for the upcoming weekend but tells them they can't tell anybody. Larry, in hopes of making amends with Mindy, tells her anyhow about the threat, momentarily regaining her favor. Mindy blabs about the threat to the whole community, ruining a weekend NRDC benefit at the Braudys' house which was scheduled to feature a performance by Alanis Morissette. At the rescheduled benefit at the Davids' house, Larry gets Alanis to reveal to him the secret of who "Mr. Duplicity" refers to in her song "You Oughta Know."
