CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM: THE THONG (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series in which producer/comedian Larry David plays a slightly exaggerated version of himself who often ends up embroiled in misunderstandings and social faux pas. In this episode, Larry visits his therapist where he avows his love for grey sneakers and gets help figuring out more activities he can do with Cheryl, ultimately deciding on taking her to a place he dreads -- the beach. While leaving the therapist's office, he runs into Rob Reiner who talks Larry into participating in a celebrity charity auction for Groat's Syndrome in which a lunch with Larry will be auctioned off. At the beach, Larry unexpectedly sees his therapist there, clad in a thong, making Larry realize that he must ditch this therapist and encourage Richard Lewis to do the same. The auctioned-off lunch is disastrous as Larry offends his dining companion causing Larry to have to emcee a Groat's Syndrome talent show to make amends with Rob.
