AMERICAN DREAMS: THE ONE (TV)
Summary
One in this drama series about a Philadelphia family, the Pryors, set against the backdrop of "American Bandstand" and the 1960s. In this episode, Jack -- per Henry's recommendation -- considers opening a second store in a predominantly black neighborhood, leaving Henry to wonder if he will be promoted to store manager. Meanwhile, Meg worries about a potential conflict when her "fake" Bandstand boyfriend Jimmy meets her ex-boyfriend Luke at a record store autograph session. Meg and Jimmy hit it off at the signing, prompting Jimmy to push for a real relationship which Meg eagerly signs on for. But even as she falls for Jimmy, Meg continues to harbor confused feelings of love for Luke. Also, Jack hires his irresponsible young brother Pete as manager at the second store, causing a disgruntled Henry to consider his employment future. Commercials deleted.
