DREAM ON: THE GUILTY PARTY (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series about a publishing company employee named Martin Tupper whose thoughts become animated through black-and-white clips of old television shows. In this episode, Martin prepares for Eddie's bachelor party by getting some pornographic videos and assorted "accessories." Judith questions the necessity of a "humiliating and degrading" bachelor party, particularly since Eddie's wedding is the next day. Eddie is mad when he finds Martin has thrown him a surprise party but stays anyway. Martin is taken aback that all his old friends have excuses for not drinking alcohol at the party. Then, Martin puts on a porno but the men are disinterested. Soon enough, Eddie has decided to call it a night but Martin doesn't let him leave as a stripper has just arrived. During her routine, the stripper gets into a sneezing fit and Martin is forced to take care of her as the drinking finally begins. Then, the men begin telling booze-induced tales about losing their virginity. Things take a turn for the worse when one man, Jerry, claims his "first time" was with Martin. Though at first the men make fun of Martin, Eddie soon reveals that he, too, once had an "experience" with a schoolmate. As the drinking continues, the men tell marriage horror stories, convincing Eddie that he won't have any sex after marriage. As Eddie starts to get cold feet, the party gets increasingly gloomy. But the evening's shocking turns are far from over.
