WIDOWS {PART 3 OF 4} (TV)

Summary

Part three of four. This made-for-television suspense thriller, based on the 1983 British version, is about four women trying to uncover the truth behind the murder of their mates -- killed during a high-stakes heist -- and finish the job they started. This part begins back at the warehouse with Mike lying dead. The next day, Dolly wonders why she was stood up by Mike the previous night. Elsewhere, Shirley is sexually harassed at her "Sound of Music" audition, and Linda gets fired from her used-car lot job. Later, the four women meet to examine the Stein blueprints closer and figure out some preparations. Eventually, the women make the chilling discovery of Mike's corpse. A painkiller on the scene causes Dolly to remember a stash of pills at Sara Sellick's apartment -- making her think Rudi is the culprit.

Afterward, Linda, Shirley, and Bella have to dispose of the body, clumsily putting it inside Linda's missing truck and dumping it in the harbor. Meanwhile, Dolly scouts out the Sellicks' apartment, noticing Jimmy entering. Once inside, Dolly secretly discovers the shocking news that Harry is still alive. Later, using Shirley's mom Audrey for a cover, Dolly is able to move around town undetected. Meanwhile, Linda learns about security equipment while romancing the tech store clerk. At the same time, Shirley learns some huge news: Stein is updating his security system in just five days. That night, Harry breaks into his old home, looking for something, but all he gets is a stab in the back courtesy of Bella and some nearby scissors. Later, Dolly must admit to the three angry women that Harry is indeed alive.

The next day, police find Mike's body in the river. Meanwhile, Harry, Jimmy, and Sara worry that Dolly knows their plan. Dolly also realizes that she now has to compete with Harry in obtaining the Vermeer painting. Later, Bella, posing as an art dealer and wired so that Dolly can speak to her, pays a visit to The Stein Gallery. With Dolly's help, Bella is able to dupe Arnold into giving her access to his vaults where she views his laser protection system. There, Bella intentionally sets off an alarm to allow her to see how the impressive system functions while quickly discovering the Vermeer's location. Afterward, Dolly is overwhelmed by the heist plan's details and tells the women that it's now impossible to pull off the robbery. Includes commercials.
