QUEER AS FOLK {U.S. VERSION}: GOOD GRIEF! (TV)
Summary
One in this series about the day-to-day lives of a circle of gay and lesbian friends living in Pittsburgh.
In this episode, Brian gets word that his father has died. Meanwhile, Daphne asks Justin whether he will have sex with her. Being a virgin, Daphne is nervous about her lack of experience now that she has a boyfriend. Ted sees Blake at a bar and apologizes to him for thinking that Blake stole his wallet. Later, Ted agrees to take Blake into his home.
Brian works on arrangements for his father's funeral; while going through a closet, he finds his dad's old bowling ball. The gathering at the Kinney home after the funeral is awkward because no one can think of anything nice to say about the deceased. Meanwhile, Justin takes Daphne up on her offer, but they promise not to be "weird" afterward. When Emmett discovers that Blake is staying with Ted, he voices his disapproval of the situation, promising Ted that Blake is only using him.
Later, Emmett sees Blake at a club and confronts him. Justin slowly realizes that Daphne is falling for him, and he discusses the situation with Lindsay and Melanie. In homage to his father, Brian takes Michael to the bowling alley, where he hits a strike using the bowling ball. Brian kisses Michael in defiant celebration -- and in condemnation of his father's homophobia.
