QUEER AS FOLK {U.S. VERSION}: QUEENS OF THE ROAD (TV)
Summary
One in this series about the day-to-day lives of a circle of gay and lesbian friends living in Pittsburgh.
In this episode, David has invited Michael to move in with him. Michael isn't sure he's ready for that kind of commitment and tells David he needs some time to think about it. Lindsay admits to Melanie that she wants to be a stay-at-home mom for Gus, but Melanie's not sure they can manage that financially. She meets with their accountant Ted, desperate to find a way to make Lindsay's dream come true. Justin gives his friend Daphne a tour of Brian's lavish apartment, and she finally gets to meet Brian. Justin goes to his little sister's birthday party where he talks with his mom about coming home, belatedly realizing that his parents are still not ready to accept him for who he is.
While Justin is out, Brian's apartment is robbed because Justin forgot to set the alarm. Furious, Brian kicks Justin out. With nowhere else to go, Justin tells Daphne he's going to New York City and admits he already made travel arrangements using Brian's credit card. Meanwhile, Michael's friends and family are ecstatic about David's move-in offer, yet Michael can't commit to a decision. As he contemplates the issue with his friends at a bar, fortune teller Mysterious Marilyn offers to do a reading to help him sort out his thoughts. Marilyn's predictions are eerily accurate, even after the session is interrupted by Daphne, who tells everyone that Justin has run away.
Debbie persuades the boys to lead a search party for Justin, so Brian, Michael, Ted, and Emmett hit the road for New York. En route, one of Brian's blows out, and Emmett surprises everyone when he knows how to fix it. As he and Ted toil with the tire, Brian and Michael share a joint, and Brian opens up about how important Michael's friendship is to him. They reach New York City, and Brian finds out Justin used his credit card again. He tracks him down in a hotel room and tells him they're going back to Pittsburgh, promising to help Justin find a place to live. The two end up having sex. When they get back home, Debbie invites Justin to stay with her and Vic. Finally, Michael makes his decision about moving in with David, after which David makes a decision of his own. This program is closed-captioned.
