THIRD WATCH: AFTER TIME (TV)
Summary
One in this dramatic series following the daily work of a crew of firefighters, paramedics, and police officers on the 3:00 to 11:00 p.m. shift. In this episode, set on September 21, 2001, the firefighters and police officers work sixteen hour shifts while trying to cope with the terrorist attacks of September 11. They mourn for missing and presumed dead firefighter Tommy Doyle. Throughout the city, people applaud them wherever they go, trying to help in any way they can. Meanwhile, Sully struggles to catch up on sleep while living in a house full of his noisy Russian in-laws, all the while looking for a chance to marry Tatiana. Also, Alex begins to get anxious as her father, a fire chief, remains missing; Jimmy makes a will "just in case"; Kim decides to rejoin the department and is immediately teamed up with Doc; and Fred helps out at home while Faith works at Ground Zero. The episode ends with Tommy Doyle's body being found. Commercials deleted.
