EVENING SHADE: THREE NAKED MEN {PART 2 OF 2} (TV)

Summary

One in this comedy series about Wood Newton, a former pro football star who returns to his rural hometown in Arkansas to coach the high school football team. In part two of this two-part episode, now back home, Ava and the other women regret having left Wood, Harlan, and Herman naked in the woods. Meanwhile, the men struggle to figure out how to get back to civilization. Eventually, wracked with guilt, Ava admits her actions to Taylor and the two go to rescue the men. Meanwhile, the men find their way to a rural gas station, where they pilfer through trash for something with which to cover up. Later, Wood even tries to get help from some spooked passersby before Ponder and Evan finally come to the rescue. During the ride home, Evan's cigar accidentally lights Wood's aluminum covering on fire and he is forced to jump from the van. Just then, a police officer arrives on the scene, questioning the most unusual quintet. Finally, indoors at Ponder's house, the men watch a television news report in which Ava and the others make a plea for the "missing" men to be found. Hearing that the county has expended $30,000 on the search, the men must return to the woods naked so that the women won't have to reimburse the county or face possible fraud charges.
