SOPRANOS, THE: ANOTHER TOOTHPICK (TV)
Summary
One in this darkly comic, dramatic series centering around the crime empire and family life of Tony Soprano, a modern-day Mafia boss. In this episode, Tony -- upset after a Melfi session with Carmela -- gets a speeding ticket from an African-American police officer, Leon. Low-level wiseguy Mustang Sally puts a putter to a man's head in a random act of violence, getting him in hot water with Tony. Later at a funeral for Carmela's uncle, Tony runs into a retired mobster, the ailing Bobby "Bacala" Sr. Also, Adriana quits her hostess duties at Vesuvio, sending Artie into a lovelorn midlife crisis. After assemblyman Zelman gets Tony out of his ticket, Tony is shocked to see Leon now working at a garden store. Desperate to prove he is still useful, Bobby Sr. volunteers to make the hit on Sally, his own godson, while Bobby Jr. and Junior worry if he is still capable. Bobby Sr. successfully executes the hit, but later reaches his demise in an unexpected matter; Junior begins questioning his own mortality; and the FBI's wiretap in the Soprano household is accidentally thwarted.
