SOPRANOS, THE: FULL LEATHER JACKET (TV)
Summary
One in this darkly comic, dramatic series centering around the crime empire and family life of Tony Soprano, a modern-day Mafia boss. In this episode, Meadow anxiously awaits her college admissions letters, hoping to get into UC Berkeley and giving Carmela many sleepless nights as she worries about her daughter's potential move to the West coast. Meanwhile, Christopher pulls off a string of safe "chipping" burglaries with gangster wanna-be half-wits Matt Bevilaqua and Sean Gismonte. Also, Paulie and Silvio meet with Richie, asking him to build a wheelchair ramp onto the house of Beansie Gaeta, the man he recently ran over with a car. Hoping that acceptance into Georgetown will eliminate Meadow's California dreams, Carmela asks Jean Cusamano if she can get her twin sister and Georgetown alumnus Joan to write a letter on their behalf. That night, Christopher, determined to get Adriana back into his life, barges into her mother's house and asks Adriana to marry him; she accepts. Later, as a payment of gratitude, Richie presents Tony with a severely outdated leather jacket that he lifted off of an Essex county gangster legend; Tony is reluctant to wear the eyesore and gives it to his housekeeper's husband, drawing Richie's ire upon discovery. Jean asks Joan to write a letter to Georgetown but she is unwilling, until Carmela pays her a visit. As Matt and Sean continue to grumble about their insignificant status on the Mafia food chain, they decide to do something to get recognized -- kill Christopher.
