STRANGERS WITH CANDY: BEHIND BLANK EYES (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series that follows the exploits of Jerri Blank, a forty-six-year-old high-school freshman and self-described former "user, boozer, and loser." In this episode, Jerri is in the school swimming pool when she meets Alan, a new student who is blind. Alan tells Jerri about his plans to play football for Flatpoint, but when he approaches the coach he finds that his chances of making the team are not good. Under threat of a lawsuit, the board of education commands Principal Blackman to allow Alan to play on the football team, but the coach vows to scare him off. Jerri decides to put herself in Alan's shoes by wearing a blindfold for a day, and Alan is honored by her effort. His fellow football players continually harass Alan in an attempt to keep him off the team, but their efforts fail. Commercials deleted.
