Summary
One in this science-fiction anthology series. In this episode, a trio conspiring to commit nefarious acts comes across a mad scientist who tilts time in order to resurrect life. Andre Pavan is a villain who has masterminded a plot to blackmail an old man for money, using love letters the old man wrote to Andre's girlfriend Kassia. Andre has enlisted the help of Kassia and the old man's daughter Leonora, although both women are reluctant participants. Tired of Andre's manipulative ways, Kassia presses Leonora to help her poison Andre. After Andre is dead, however, Leonora panics; her guilt makes her believe that he has not really been killed. Kassia drives through the stormy night into the countryside to bury Andre, but Leonora's paranoia prompts her to run wildly away from the car and the corpse, into the night. Kassia chases after Leonora, leaving Andre's body in the car trunk, and the two women run across a house deep in the woods at which they stop to get out of the storm. There they meet the proprietor, and old blind man named Colas, and an eccentric younger man named Tone Hobart. Still determined to bury Andre, Kassia goes back into the storm to find the body in their deserted car. While she is gone, Hobart probes Leonora's mind to discover the truth about Andre, and he reveals a secret of his own about a device he has created, which is capable of shifting time. At this point, Hobart's plans intersect with Kassia's, and the time-shifting device gives new life to the dead. Too late, Hobart realizes that he has interfered in secrets of the universe that are not meant to be controlled by humans. Ultimately, Hobart needs Leonora and Kassia's help to erase the unnatural acts that have taken place. Commercials deleted.
