DHARMA & GREG {DHARMA AND GREG}: VALET GIRL (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series about two unlikely soulmates: Dharma, a yoga instructor who was raised by hippies, and her husband Greg, an assistant U.S. attorney for the Justice Department. In this episode, both Kitty and Greg are forced to examine themselves in uncomfortable ways when the Montgomerys' maid, Celia, gets married. When Dharma brings Celia to the Montgomerys' country club for lunch, Kitty feels humiliated and lectures Dharma on the proper relationship between servants and employers. However, when Dharma discusses Celia's upcoming marriage, Kitty admits that she is hurt that Celia hadn't thought of inviting her employers to such an important event. Ever the peacekeeper, Dharma saves the day by arranging for the Montgomerys to be invited to the wedding, and spontaneously filling in for the wedding valet service, which cancels at the last minute. Left to her own devices at the wedding reception, Kitty meets many of Celia's friends and is shocked to realize that her servant has a separate life that she knows nothing about. Meanwhile, Greg runs into an old flame, Celia's beautiful niece Ynez, and rumors spread around the wedding reception about Greg and Ynez's youthful fling. Greg is eventually forced to make an embarrassing admission in order to escape the jealous wrath of Ynez's husband. Ultimately, even Kitty is moved by the day's events to briefly open her mind to new experiences. Commercials deleted.
