TWO GUYS, A GIRL AND A PIZZA PLACE: TWO GUYS, A GIRL AND AN ENGAGEMENT {SEASON TWO FINALE} (TV)
Summary
The season two finale in this comedy series about roommates Berg and Pete, and their longtime friend Sharon, who lives in their Boston apartment building. This episode begins as Pete confesses to a priest that he thinks he is in love with Sharon and that he has even kissed her. Later, Sharon tells her friends that she believes Johnny is cheating on her due to his strange behavior of late. Berg assuages Sharon's fears, but he secretly believes that Johnny must be cheating. Thus, Berg and Pete track down Johnny and confront him. Johnny reveals that he isn't cheating but has taken on an extra job in order to get enough money to buy an engagement ring and propose to her. Later, Berg sets up Beacon Street Pizza with a Rick's Cafe Americain theme in order to make Johnny's proposal perfect, as "Casablanca" is Sharon's favorite movie. However, Johnny hasn't handled all the details yet and thus has to sneak away, making Sharon even more suspicious. Meanwhile, Ashley drops a bombshell on Berg, stating that she is a divorcŽe. Later, Berg notices Pete's strange behavior and Pete finally admits that he is in love with Sharon. Berg is predictably stunned and thinks that Pete isn't actually in love with Sharon but simply afraid he won't find his true love. Afterward, Johnny needs Pete to stall Sharon while he picks up the ring. Thus, Pete and Sharon hang out at the fountain, having a blast as they make fun of people and reminisce. Eventually, Pete wants to reveal his true feelings to Sharon but is unable to find the right moment. Later, Berg convinces Pete that he must tell her these feelings, even if it will screw up her impending engagement to Johnny. Pete arrives at the pizzeria just as Johnny proposes. However, Sharon runs from the place without accepting. Includes commercials and a Sports Center update.
(This series was renamed "Two Guys and a Girl" for its third season.)
