SEX AND THE CITY: THE TURTLE AND THE HARE (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series about Carrie Bradshaw, a single Manhattanite who writes a popular sex-advice column for a newspaper while dishing out dating advice and dirt with her three closest friends. In this episode, the girls are seated at the "singles" table at a friend's wedding and meet a man known as the "Turtle," who has terrible breath. After the wedding, Carrie wonders why people get married if they are not in love. She poses her thought to Big, and he boldly proclaims that he will never get married again. Carrie therefore begins to wonder whether their relationship merits the time and effort she is expending on it. Meanwhile, Miranda believes that she has found the perfect substitute for men; Carrie and Charlotte humor her by purchasing this substitute. After being stood up by a date, Samantha runs into the Turtle and decides to take on the task of transforming him into a desirable man. Charlotte makes a confession about her sex life since she purchased the substitute. Carrie then decides to play a game with Big about the marriage issue with the help of her friend Stanford. Samantha finds that her efforts to change the Turtle have been a waste of time, and she decides to leave him as soon as possible. When Carrie's game ends, she breaks the news to Big about her plans for the future.
