HEY ARNOLD!: SCHOOL PLAY (TV)

Summary

One in this animated series about inner-city fourth-grader Arnold and his eccentric relatives and friends from the neighborhood. In this episode, Mr. Simmons gets Arnold's fourth-grade class involved in a school production of "Romeo and Juliet." But none of the boys want to play Romeo because the character must kiss Juliet. Mr. Simmons vows to make the school play a success, so he insists that Arnold play Romeo since no other boy will do it. After auditions, Rhonda wins the role of Juliet, with Sheena, Phoebe, and Lila as her understudies. Since Helga the bully has a secret love for Arnold, she decides playing Juliet will allow her to express her amorous feelings without embarrassing herself. Helga concocts a plan to force Rhonda and her understudies out of the show so she can play the lead herself. The youngsters devote themselves to rehearsals, and on the opening night of the show, the results surprise everyone.
