PRACTICE, THE: DO UNTO OTHERS (TV)

Summary

One in this series of dramas about the idealistic attorneys at a struggling Boston law practice. In this episode, Eugene defends Rabbi Richard Jacobs when he is charged with raping Terri Reynolds, a twenty-three-year-old woman with whom he had an eleven-month affair. Jacobs contends that the incident in question consisted of consensual rough sex. But Eugene becomes disgruntled when the board of directors from the rabbi's temple wants him to bribe Reynolds into dropping the case, and he learns that Jacobs was charged with a similar offense once before. Nonetheless, Jacobs presents a convincing case when he claims that Reynolds was angered over his refusal to marry her, and brought the charge against him in order to get revenge. The case further upsets Eugene when his ex-wife, Sharon, demonstrates that she doesn't support or understand the work that he does. Includes commercials, promos, and public service announcements. Commercials include Maria Shriver for the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind, Inc. and Christopher Lloyd for 10-10-220 telecommunications services. This program is closed-captioned.
