BLOOPERS (TV)

Summary

One in this comedy series featuring mistakes, bloopers and blunders, hosted by Dick Clark. This program features guest host Elise Neal from the comedy series "The Hughleys." The program opens with an irate news reporter, and a clip from "Hollywood Squares" with Whoopi Goldberg as Bobcat Goldthwait removes his pants. Included are bloopers from the following television shows: "Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place," "Xena: Warrior Princess" with Lucy Lawless, "Hercules" with Kevin Sorbo, "Young Hercules," "Spin City" with Michael Boatman and Michael J. Fox, "Mad TV" with Shaquille O'Neal, "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" with Melissa Joan Hart, "Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction" with Jonathan Frakes, and "Match Game." Then, Drew Carey chats with Clark and introduces clips from "The Drew Carey Show" with appearances by Christa Miller, Craig Ferguson, Ryan Stiles, Ian Gomez, and Diedrich Bader. Next is a series of gaffes from "BBC Miss-Takes" as well as local news programs, including a flying gavel at the New York Stock Exchange, naked pedestrians, unexpected on-camera appearances by birds and small children, swallowed insects, a near-miss collision between a bunny and a semi-truck, and an anchorman spilling his coffee. Also featured are television outtakes from "The Outdoorsman With Buck McNeely" with his son, Max; a Welch's grape juice commercial; a "Donny and Marie" promo with Donny and Marie Osmond; "The Hughleys" with D.L. Hughley and Elise Neal; "America's Funniest Home Videos" with Daisy Fuentes; "Comedy Showcase"; a Wendy's commercial with Dave Thomas; "The New Addams Family"; and "Brother's Keeper" with William Ragsdale. Also featured are vintage bloopers from "Happy Days" with Henry Winkler, Marion Ross, Tom Bosley, and Ron Howard. The program concludes with computer-generated bloopers from the movie "A Bug's Life." Includes commercials, promos, and public service announcements. Commercials include Martha Stewart for Kmart; promos include Diana Ross and Brandy for "Double Platinum"; and public service announcements include Colin Powell for UNCF.
