KABLAM! {1ST ANNUAL KABLAMMY AWARDS} (TV)
Summary
One in this series of animated childrenÕs programs that compile several individual animation pieces into a format that is similar to a comic book. In this episode, the animated characters Henry and June host the "First Annual Kablammy Awards," in which a prize is given to the "kablammiest" cartoon. The first nominated cartoon is "Sniz & Fondue in: War of the Supergeeks." Sniz and Fondue fight over the toy at the bottom of a box of cereal, and they are forced to compete in a special triathlon to determine who will keep the toy. After the Kablammy dancers perform a song and dance routine, Henry and June present the second nominee, "Action League Now!: Testimony of Terror." In this animation piece the action figures The Flesh, Thunder Girl, Stinky Diver, and Meltman, try to protect a bratty little boy who is a star witness in the trial of the evil mayor. However, the heroes end up having to protect themselves from the mischievous witness. The next nominated cartoon is "The Off-beats," in which the "populars" steal Betty AnnÕs glasses, and the off-beat gang has to devise a clever plan to get the glasses back. The last nominee is "Prometheus & Bob: Kite," in which the space alien Prometheus unsuccessfully tries to teach caveman Bob to fly a kite.
