MOESHA: PILOT {SERIES PREMIERE} (TV)

Summary

The premiere of this comedy series about Moesha Mitchell, a vivacious African-American teenager living in Los Angeles with her father, stepmother, and wisecracking younger brother. In this episode, Moesha is forbidden by her father, Frank, to date anyone until she turns sixteen, yet she has been secretly dating Ohagi. And although Ohagi is reciting poetry at the Den that night, Moesha is forbidden to go out on a school night. Meanwhile, her relationship with her stepmother, Dee, is strained and Frank complicates the situation by undermining Dee's authority while she's trying to discipline Moesha. After the teenager is grounded for being late to dinner, Moesha sneaks out of the house to attend Ohagi's poetry reading anyway. But her relationship with Ohagi goes awry, and when Moesha returns home, Dee tries to set their rocky relationship straight. Commercials deleted.
